PrlfHave you had a big dream in your life? Yes, you have. This question perhaps will remind us how spirit we were back then to make our dream become true, but how could you fail to get your dream? I did not fail, I just stopped dreaming as I used to. Why did you stop dreaming? I had to work at the moment, I had to take care of my family, I had to stop going to school, and I had to many more. Those answers become one of your reasons probably. What did you feel at first time you decided to stop to have a big dream? Cry? Laugh? No at all, unflavoured feeling mostly, right? And what do you feel now? Regret? When you start to realize that you could probably become what you wanted if you did not give up. Understand my life since I decided to stop dreaming, nor do I feel good every day.
When we were still elementary school, and being asked about our dream by our teacher is part of best session to show to all our friends that we had a big hope which we wanted to be. One of us began raised our hands and said “I wanted to be a lawyer, a billionaire, a doctor, police” and others. but after a few years later, those dreams had changed. We changed them because we rethink. Is my dream good? Can I be police with small body? Do people still need a lawyer? The more we grow, the more we think our future. That is not enough if we only see the good side of our dream. Then next we just dream to be someone who has a lot of money. Dreaming does not matter anymore, dreaming is not my goal life anymore, we convince ourselves that a dream is just dream. We must be back into reality.
A few years passed, we are still nobody, we are still jobless, we are still laying down on a bed, we are still someone who asks money to their parents, and we still go back and forth from one company to another one just to attach our cv. and at the night, we start crying, start blaming ourselves, family, close friend, life and God. Why should it be me? Why not others. but when morning comes, we take a shower and go to other company again to try harder even though we already know the result. It does not change everything.
Some of us may have been used to, and admitted what life has given us, but for people who are still depressed can be worse and worse, and start do something bad, even have suicidal thoughts. Life is not fair. How many people stop dreaming because they are forced to stop it, they have to work for their parents, their brother or sister and for themselves. But do we ever think and read deeper, we have still a chance for what we want to be.
Kolonel Harland David Sanders, the owner of KFC, became successful when he was 74, and this thing you may not know, he started his business when turning 65 years old. Nothing is too late to tart our big dream. It is going to be better to try first albeit we fail than we never try to do something which will make us feel regret, hence the quote of if you give up, your dream does not die just passes out, and it will wake up to be regret.
But what if I already lose everything? Let’s try to admit that in simple way. You can fail now but you have to make someone else becomes successful, such your child or other family, so they will not be like us. Maybe your failure is a lesson for other not to give up, then the role that you can play is educating people to keep dreaming.
